
Softball Players Receive 2025 AAC Postseason Honors
Golden Tigers softball players Peyton Hawkins, Whitney Hulsey, Ava Moon, and Dayton Power each received 2025 AAC All-Conference first-team honors for their performances on the diamond.
Hawkins, a sophomore from Watkinsville, Ga., hit .467 with an on base percentage (OBP) of .559 and a slugging percentage of .654. She also hit 1 home run, drove in 41 runs, and posted 18 doubles. Hawkins was ranked third in the conference in batting average and is 11th in the nation in OBP.
Hulsey, a junior from Jefferson, Ga., hit .408 at the plate with a slugging percentage of .425 and an OBP of .546. She also accounted for one home run, 83 bases and a team-best 57 RBIs. Hulsey led the AAC in Runs Batted In.
Moon, a sophomore from Watkinsville, Ga., capped an outstanding season by leading the AAC with a blistering .500 batting average, as well as a league-best 36 stolen bases. She posted 37 RBIs, a .556 OBP and a slugging percentage of .686 and also scored 55 runs. She sits among national leaders in batting average (10th), OBP (12th), and steals (17th).
Power, a sophomore from Braselton, Ga. also had a stellar season with a .437 batting average and 32 RBIs. She also posted 30 steals and had an OBP of .437 and a slugging percentage of .658. Power was ranked second in steals among AAC leaders.
Senior Paige Downing was also recognized for her contributions to the squad by being recognized as a 2025 AAC Softball Champions of Character team member. Champions of Character team members best represent the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
Downing, Hulsey, and Moon joined teammates Brianne Brookshire, Allie Busbee, Maggie Furr, Makayla Hammond, Carlie Neal, Kristina Peach, Charlotte Smith and Riley Smith on the 2025 AAC All-Academic team. Team members are recognized for their academic excellence and recipients of All-Academic honors must maintain a minimum of an overall 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore status.
