Brenau Basketball Team to Recognize Seniors

Brenau University will recognize six seniors from the Golden Tiger basketball team following Saturday's game against Coastal Georgia.

Raven Crawford, a forward from Toccoa, Ga., has played in 84 career games at Brenau. She has averaged 6.5 points per game and 5.0 rebounds for her career. Raven was the 2011-2012 recipient of the Golden Tiger of the Year award. When asked about Raven, Coach Stewart noted her versatility: "Raven is a very versatile player. We ask her to handle the ball, defend the post and be a distributor on offense. She is an outstanding person, and her toughness and leadership will certainly be missed".

Jasmyn Farmer, a post from Lilburn, Ga., has played in 81 career games at Brenau. Jasmyn is an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and an SSAC All-Conference Academic team member and was the winner of the 2011- 2012 Golden Tiger of the Year award. Coach Stewart noted that "Jasmyn is a very strong shot blocker and rebounder. She has worked very hard and improved tremendously. I am proud of her on the court and off the court work during her career".

Gabby Harvey, a forward from Lilburn, Ga., has played in 83 career games at Brenau. Her career averages are 10.5 points and 10.6 rebounds. She will end her career as Brenau's all-time leader in rebounding. She was a 2011-2012 SSAC All-East selection and the 2011 and 2012 Defensive MVP. Coach Stewart said that "Gabby is a strong player who has earned her accolades. She is an outstanding rebounder and such a versatile player. We will miss her impact on our team".

Nikki Reed, a forward from Atlanta Ga. has played in 108 total games for Brenau. Nikki was the 2011-2012 Offensive MVP award winner and has career averages of 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds. The sixth member of the 1,000 point club at Brenau, Nikki was also a 2011-2012 SSAC All-East Selection. Coach Stewart noted that, "Nikki is such a physically strong player who can play inside and outside. She is only the 6th member of the 1,000 point club, which is evidence of her excellent career".

Sarah Ward, a guard from Elberton, Ga. has played in 95 games for Brenau. For the 2012-2013 season, Sarah is ranked as the #3 three-point percentage shooter in the nation (47.1%), and is a career 42.7% 3-point shooter. She is an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and an SSAC All-Conference Academic team member as well as the winner of the 2011-2012 Most Improved Award. Coach Stewart said that "Sarah is an excellent 3-point shooter and a very solid defender. She is also an outstanding student who has had a very nice career at Brenau".

Olivia Williams, a post from Hiram, Ga., has played in 111 games for Brenau. In the 2012-2013 season, Olivia is averaging 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. During her senior campaign, Olivia posted career highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Coach Stewart noted that, "Olivia is an unbelievable defender. She is not only a great on-ball defender, but also a great help defender. Her offensive game has developed nicely and has really become a strong player".

Brenau University will recognize these players at the conclusion of Saturday's game. The Tigers come into tomorrow's with a 14-13 overall record.
