
Cross Country Places Fourth At Middle Georgia Invitational
The Brenau cross country team finished with its second consecutive strong showing of the 2018 season with a fourth place finish at the Middle Georgia Invitational in Macon, Georgia on Saturday.
Freshman Shannon Hoolahan placed second overall (20:29), while Bianca Orr (22:36) and Zoie Gardner (22:36) placed eleventh and twelfth respectively to lead the team to a fourth place finish. For Hoolahan, this was her second consecutive top-two finish of the season after her first place win at last week's Palmetto XC Festival.
Other Golden Tiger finishers include Nia Griffin (33rd overall/25:17), Felicia Gordon (56th overall/30:57) and Giovanna Sifontes (64th overall/39:14).
Ave Maria (Fla.) University won the race with 42 points, while Dalton State (Ga.) College (60 points) and Albany State (Ga.) University (94 points) rounded out the top three squads.
Brenau returns to the trails at the Winthrop/Adidas 35th Annual Cross Country Invitational on September 15th in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
