COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College women's soccer team shut out their 7th opponent of the season on Saturday evening defeating Brenau University 1-0 to pick up their 7th consecutive victory on Senior Night.
Freshman forward Malia Kincaid put the Koalas on the board early scoring within the first 30 seconds of the match off an assist from sophomore midfielder Kinzly Cohen to stake CC to a 1-0 lead with her 13th goal of the campaign.
The Koalas then took a 3-1 shot count lead into the break before also outshooting the Tigers 8-2 in the second half as sophomore keeper Teagan Eisenring made 3 saves on 3 shots on goal to pick up yet another shutout victory. Kincaid and senior forward Jordan Myers each led the team with 3 shots apiece.
Columbia improves to 10-6 overall and 7-5 in the conference while BU falls to 5-8-3 overall and 3-7-3 in the AAC. CC will now head to Tennessee to battle TWU on Monday afternoon at 1 PM in their final game of the season before heading to the conference tournament later next week.
