Bio

Michael Carter enters his ninth season as head coach of the Golden Tigers.

During his tenure at Brenau, Carter has coached ten all-conference players, including one national player of the week, 22 conference all-academic winners and 15 NAIA scholar-athletes.

Carter has an extensive coaching background at the college, club and scholastic levels. From 1997-2000, Carter was the head coach at Spelman (Ga.) College in Atlanta. He also served as an assistant coach in 1996-97 at Marymount University As a club coach, he has worked for the Cobb Atlanta Juniors, Vertical One volleyball club, SSA Juniors volleyball club, On Court volleyball club, Marietta volleyball club and is currently the Owner/Director of ProLink Volleyball club. In 2014, he led his club team to an AAU National Championship.

Carter played collegiately at George Mason University from 1994-97 where he was a varsity team captain.
