All-Region Player Signs with Tigers Basketball

Coach Kris Stewart is pleased to announce the signing of Quinnesha Turner to the 2013-2014 Brenau University Golden Tiger basketball team.

Turner, a 5-5 guard from Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga. a first-team, All-Northeast Georgia selection in 2012-2013, averaged 16 points, five assists and 2 steals for the Lady Jaguars. She was also chosen as an All 8-AAAA Region player.

Turner mentioned her comfort with Brenau's campus and the coaching staff, saying, "As soon as I stepped on campus it felt like my home away from home. I loved the atmosphere of Gainesville. Coach Stewart truly made me feel like Brenau is where I belong."

She also noted that while coming off an injury during her senior year, she knew that there was "a great group of girls and a wonderful coaching staff behind me which sealed the deal. I am very excited to further my education and career at Brenau. "

Coach Stewart spoke about Turner, saying, "Que is a very explosive guard who plays with passion. She is a playmaker and someone who will add a variety of skills to our backcourt. She is also a wonderful young woman and an outstanding student. We are very blessed to add her to both our University and to our program".

Turner is the fourth commitment for 2013-2014.
