Basketball Falls to Bluefield in AAC Play

Gainesville, Georgia- The Bluefield Rams outshot the Brenau Golden Tigers en route to a 67-41 win in Appalachian Athletic Conference basketball play on Saturday.

The visiting Rams shot 36% from the field (22-67) compared to Brenau's 26% shooting (15-56) and used a decisive 22-12 fourth quarter to pull away with the win.

Lia Thomas led the Golden Tigers with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Maddy Zaferatos added eight points and three rebounds.

Danae Cox led Bluefield with 18 points.

Brenau (5-8 overall, 3-7 AAC) next travels to Milligan College (10-3 overall, 8-1 AAC) on Tuesday for a 5:30 conference showdown.
