Reinhardt Edges Golden Tigers in AAC Play

Gainesville, Georgia- The Reinhardt basketball team hit two big three pointers late in the fourth quarter to edge past the Brenau University 66-50 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Thursday.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Golden Tigers' Dyiesha Brown hit a three pointer to cut the score to 52-48 However, the Eagles' Chandler Sutton hit two back-to-back deep three pointers to allow Reinhardt to escape with the win.

The game featured nine lead changes and five ties as neither team could pull away until late in the game.

Madison Phillips led the Golden Tigers with 15 points and five rebounds, while Dyiesha Brown added 12 points.

Sutton led Reinhardt with 15 points.

Brenau (5-10 overall, 3-9 AAC) next hosts Columbia College (5-9 overall, 4-7 AAC) on Saturday at 2pm.
