Short-handed Golden Tigers fall in 2025 season opener

Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau tennis team lost to Truett McConnell University 4-3 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) season opening matchup on Friday.

The Golden Tigers are dealing with a few key injuries so even though they spilt the two doubles play matches Truett won the decisive third match by default and thus the doubles point. In the singles matches the teams spilt the points 3-3 giving the Bears just enough to get the win.

Brenau (0-1 overall, 0-1 AAC) next takes on Cumberland (TN) (0-1 overall) on Thursday at 1:30 pm at home.
