Indoor Track and Field Competes at Mondo Invitational

Winston Salem, North Carolina-The Golden Tigers indoor track and field team returned to action this past weekend competing at the Mondo College Invitational at the JDL Fast Track. The team turned in some strong performances led by a pair of freshmen. Tatyana Denis jumped to a fifth-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.55m (5'1), while fellow freshman Madison Kitson also had a strong showing in the jumping events. Kitson leaped to a seventh-place finish in the triple jump, 10.75m (35' 3.25") and an eighth-place finish in the long jump, 5.05m (16'7"). 

The 4x800m relay team of Kamille Dixon, Averie Akin, Victoria Woods, and Re'Yanna Ellis-Pickett raced to a fifth-place finish. Kamryn Chambliss, Kyla Laurent, Kitson, and Ellis-Pickett also teamed up in the 4x400m relay for an eighth-placed finish.

Jennaya Coucoulus: 24th place, long jump, 4.56m; 33rd place, shot put, 8.53m; 

Kamille Dixon: 19th place, 1 mile run, 5:48.56;

Mikhailah Hayes: 14th place, 400 meters, 1:10.28;

Jasmine Johnson: 15th place, triple jump, 9.55m; 39th place, 200 meters, 28.47; 

Taylor Knox: 13th place, triple jump, 9.59m;

Kyla Laurent: 48th place, 200 meters, 29.10;

Kendra Martin: 19th place, 200 meters, 27.54;

Madi McMahan: 32nd place, 800 meters, 2:51.45;

Re'Yanna Ellis-Pickett: 18th place, 400 meters, 1:08.58;

Jasmine Ramsey: 22nd place, shot put, 9.92m; 25th place, weight throw, 9.46;

Laila Reed: 19th place, high jump, 1.45m;

Victoria Woods: 37th place, 1 mile run, 6:16.79;
