Bio

Katie Dant is in her second year as the assistant cross country and track and field coach at Brenau University.

Previous to coming to Brenau, Dant served as the head boys and girls cross country coach at Springwood School in Lanett, Ala. for 2 seasons. During this time she also worked as a fitness instructor leading cardio-based group fitness classes at a private gym in West Point, GA. 

Since March 2022, Dant has served as the Girls Empowering Movement program coordinator through the Boys and Girls Club of Lanier. This program addresses physical, nutritional, and mental wellness for middle school girls as a branch of the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation.

Dant is a 2015 graduate of Point University where she ran on the inaugural and Conference Runner-Up women's team. During her time at Point, Dant received the NAIA Champion of Character award, NAIA Scholar Athlete award, and was named team captain during her senior season. 

Coach Dant lives in Cleveland, GA with her husband, Chris. They enjoy hiking and rock climbing, as well as CrossFit. Coach Dant also enjoys trail runs with their 7-year old spaniel mix, Kona.
