Grayson, Kentucky- The Brenau volleyball team defeated Kentucky Christian University 3-1 (16-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-23) in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday.
After falling in the first set, the Golden Tigers responded with three straight set wins to clinch the match. Sophomore setter Nathalia Quintero set the tone with a career-best 49 assists, while sophomore Jomaris Maldonado led the attack with 16 kills and 11 digs. Junior Ashlyn Browning added 15 kills and 13 digs and senior Malone Davis also chipped in 11 kills.
Defensively, junior libero Dallas Morse led the Golden Tigers with 19 digs, while sophomore Claire Beckman added three blocks.
Brenau (5-8 overall, 3-6 AAC) travels to Truett McConnell (Ga.) University (7-10 overall, 5-3 AAC) on Tuesday at 6:30 pm Eastern.
