Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau volleyball team defeated Toccoa Falls 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-21, 29-27) in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday.
The Golden Tigers won the opening set decisively, but the Screaming Eagles responded with a 25-22 win to even the match. Brenau answered with wins in the third and fourth sets to take the match.
Senior Malone Davis led the attack with 12 kills, while freshman Lola Pruett posted a career-best 11 kills and 8 digs. Freshmen Hannah Messer and Lauryn Kroening combined for 13 kills in the victory. Kroening also added a career-high eight blocks.
Junior libero Dallas Morse led the Golden Tigers defense with 17 digs and sophomore setter Nathalia Quintero added 24 assists.
Brenau (6-9 overall, 3-7 AAC) next travels to St. Andrews (NC) University (0-17 overall, 0-10 AAC) on Friday at 6:30 pm.
