Sale Signs with Brenau Cross Country Team

GAINESVILLE, GA- The Brenau University cross country team is proud to announce the addition of Alyssa Sale for the 2012 season. Sale, a graduate of South Forsyth High School, will join the GoldenTigers team in the fall.

Sale is an accomplished scholar and athlete; currently holding a 3.204 GPA while taking college preparatory classes, as well as advanced classes. Additionally, Alyssa is a member of several organizations including DECA, the National Technical Honors Society, the Future Business Leaders of America, and the Youth Leadership Forsyth organization. Her DECA group finished in the top 20 nationally in 2011.

When it comes to athletics, Sale is also very involved, competing in not only cross country, but track and field and swimming as well. Sale has been a four year letter winner in both track and cross country in high school and will now bring that experience to the collegiate level. She brings some excellent times as part of her resume to Brenau's cross country team. Alyssa's fastest cross country 5k is a 20:14 and her fastest 2 mile is a 12:13. In shorter distances, her fastest mile is a 5:32 and her 800m is a 2:25. Alyssa was the senior Varsity Team Captain in 2011. Additionally, she was the MVP for her team in 2009 with the fastest overall season times and in 2011, she received the Coach's Athlete Award.

Alyssa will be a fantastic addition to Brenau University with her athletic and academic abilities. When asked about Sale, Head Coach, Susan McIntyre, had this to say about her new recruit, "Alyssa brings many assets to the Brenau Cross Country Teamshe puts 100% into everything she does. I have no doubt 2012 will be an awesome season."
