
Cross Country Places Sixth at North Georgia Invitational
Oakwood, Georgia- The Brenau cross country team placed sixth out of fourteen teams at the North Georgia Invitational on Saturday.
The squad had a total team time of 1:54.03 and an average time of 22:49 in a strong field of runners.
Rachel Boulineau led the Golden Tigers with an eighth place finish out of 102 runners. The Canton, Georgia native ran a strong 19:54 to place inside the top ten for the second consecutive week after earning second place honors at last week's Middle Georgia Invitational.
Shannon Hoolahan placed 28th in the meet in a time of 21:21, while teammate Bianca Orr finished 45th with a time of 23:09.
Other Golden Tiger finishers include Kayland Thomason (53rd place/23:41), Giovanna Sifontes (72nd place/25:54), Keren Kepwadi (88th place/27:49) and Evelin Gouveia (96th place/29:39).
Host North Georgia captured top honors with a team time of 1:39.09, while SCAD Atlanta, University of the South (Tenn.), Piedmont (Ga.) College and Truett McConnell (Ga.) University rounded out the top five finishers.
Brenau next competes at the Charleston Classic in Johns Island, S.C. on October 5th.
