
Cross Country Competes at Royals Challenge
Charlotte, North Carolina- The Brenau cross country team placed fourth at the highly competitive Royals Challenge, held at the Hodges Family Farm and hosted by Queens University this past weekend.
The Golden Tigers posted a total time of 2:15:29 and an average team time of 27:05 in the meet.
Individually, freshman Kiyan Pittman led the squad with a time of 25:35 to finish 27th, while junior Shannon Hoolahan finished close behind in 28th place in 25:49. Junior Zoie Gardner also cracked the top-30 with a time of 26:25.
Other Brenau finishers include freshman Briona Bierkamp in 28:14 (34th place), sophomore Keren Kepwadi in 29:26 (36th place), senior Bianca Braz in 29:40 (37th place), freshman Emily Martinez in 29:40 (38th place) and junior Paola Benitez-Hernandez in 37:43 (42nd place).
NCAA Division II Anderson (SC) University placed first with an average team time of 22:27, while UNC-Pembroke captured second place with an average time of 22:55. Milligan (Tenn.) University placed third in 24:45.
